As the club name would suggest, we are fundamentally a Sikh football club with the vast majority of our players of the Sikh faith.
I mention the word "fundamentally" because we do not exclude any person who wishes to play for the club. We are a Sikh football club and we are based from Guru Arjan Dev Gurdwara, Derby. The only quality that we are looking for and demand is that we whoever wears the shirt and represents the club will give 100% to the club through various means; Support, Commitment, Drive, Courage, and many others. One other important requirement is that the player will conduct himself properly and not in a manner that will undermine the name of the club.
As the Guru's once said, "We are all equal in front of God" and this sort of equality is what we are all about. Currently we have a vast array of nationalities and religions represented in our two senior teams. These include Sikh, Muslim, Christian, African & Afro-Caribbean.
Race, religion & colour never comes into the equation as we are all working towards the same thing, to win games. Yes we encounter racist opposition, but this makes us even stronger to succeed.
